As mentioned I started my Research back in 1996. At that time I decided to start to become curious about the stories my grand father told me when I was a young boy. About the place he came from, the daily life they had there. Of course about the reason they have to leave their loved homeland.
Of course he was not alone there, he had brothers, sisters, cousins etc. and most of them left Ordou between 1914 and 1923 while the Ottoman Empire by commandment intent to destroy, in whole or in part, the ethnical/religous group of christ pontians, by: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. Or they have to leave Ordou based on the stipulations in the Treaty of Lausanne since 1923.
In Ordou their home city the familiy was working in various branches like: milling and bakery industries and over land exports to Syria and Libanon, leather and various other commercial exports via the Black Sea to Russia etc.
During the Exodus they left Ordou into various dirctions like Greece, USA, Argentine and Chile. At least that is what I learned.
